Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that clean and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet mess in one session, without having to switch devices. They can also save space in comparison to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will have excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that have docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, replenish their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's one of the simplest robots to install that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and a quick-start guide will have you up and running with a clean, full dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in a matter of minutes.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops spin at high speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of dirt, pet hair and dried sticky spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a selection of attachments and brushes, and an intuitive app that lets you select the type of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.

For instance, you could decide to let the robot clean up the kitchen and living rooms but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It can detect small obstacles that other models are unable to. Its only drawback is that it can hit objects and walls at a high speed, but an instant glance at the cleaning history within the app will show you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and what obstacles it's run into or avoided.

The docking station has an LCD display that displays the need for maintenance for cleaning up debris and cleaning the water tank that is dirty. It can also mix detergent into the water tank in a controlled manner with a 600ml of eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time, with the mop capable of running for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode, while the vacuum is able to do 136 minutes in standard mode before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is simple to use and intuitive, allowing you to see every aspect of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's flagship robot mop and vacuum, is the most recent version. In contrast to the model of last year it comes with a double agitator in its mopping pad, which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power that allows it to remove finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners could miss.

Like the two other Roborock models I've tried, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to helps it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles.  best robot vacuum cleaner  goes one step further by incorporating dual cameras that can detect objects, determining whether they're walls or other surfaces. It then can alter its direction automatically and clean the objects, without missing a step.

It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also the most feature-packed. Its sleek and angular design is striking and has only three physical buttons: the power button, that also resumes cleaning; a mop-only button that doubles as a child lock and a home button to return the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank is self-emptying and the bin auto-filling.

The only issue I encountered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. You can change the mopping cloth if required, but it's not easy to take the mount off for manual washing. I've observed that any carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mount, which can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of clever features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can configure and manage these using the Roborock app, which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor battery life. You'll need to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering how efficient it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop equipped with outstanding suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its innovative design lets you to personalize and efficiently clean while reducing time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful choices available. This powerful vacuum can clean up dry mess, including pet hair and dust. It also has a high-quality mop that leaves floors sparkling clean, even with a wet pad. The X40 is also very quiet in operation, with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.

Another notable feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brushes, which lets it get into hard-to-reach corners and intimately clean curved furniture like table and chairs' legs. It also lets the robot to get under furniture with a low profile, making it a great option for smaller apartments and condominiums with small spaces. The side brush tilts automatically down when it spots wet spots. This is a great feature that allows the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through repeated back-and-forth movements.

Unlike some other robots that solely focus on one task, the X40 can do both vacuuming and mopping at the same time or in a series. It can also be programmed to skip areas that have carpet and only mop hard floors or vice versa. It can be controlled via the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is user-friendly and easy to use and the X40's intelligent features are easy to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. It is also possible to alter suction power, change modes, view maps and floor plans, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also keep track of its progress, and alert you when it is finished.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous features that make it a great choice for busy families. The docking station will automatically empty the dustbin and wash the mop pads and refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It will also tell you if the mop pad is at its capacity to the max and notify you of the situation before it overflows.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It has many features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature on its mop heads, makes use of two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, small dirt particles and remove spills and soiled spots.

The mop is cleaned and dried in the base station each time they are used. This is a great feature as it keeps mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. It's a system that has yet to be seen on other robot vacuum and mop models, and it could be a good way of keeping your home cleaner for longer.

There's a plethora of options available that include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and alter a variety of preferences. These can be set via the app or buttons that can be found on the unit itself. The app is easy to use and offers many options for customising the cleaning process, and there are a lot of features that other robots do not include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles instead of relying on an individual setting.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks elegant and elegant. It's a little heavier than the other two-in-one robots on this list, at 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy, and it is sturdy and well-built. The mopping design is also excellent, and the double rotating mops work well on hard floors and in corners. They can even extend up to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice touch.
